DADS (Dynamic Analysis and Design System) is a mechanical computer-aidedengineering (MCAE) software package that enables users to simulate andanalyze complex mechanisms and mechanical systems. DADS Revision 7.0delivers exciting new motion analysis and simulation capabilities in aunified, interactive user environment. The DADS Revision 7 operatingshell lets users to interact with their model throughout all phases ofthe design and analysis process through multiple viewports, dialog boxes,and windows which display model data and geometry.Model geometry can be imported from several CAD or FEA formats (includingPro/ENGINEER, CATIA, AutoCAD, I-DEAS, ARIES, ANSYS, NASTRAN and PATRAN)or built using the DADS "sketch" library of basic geometric shapes. TheDADS analysis capabilities have been enhanced in Revision 7, includingnew tire modeling options for carpet plots and definitions for pressure,surface and stiffness.
